Description
Drop N Tell shock indicators have been officially manufactured by Index Packaging Inc. for more than 50 years.
What is Drop and Tell?
The Drop N Tell shock indicators are attached to the package’s outer carton. The middle “<” or “>” arrow(s) changes from red to blue when the cargo is struck or vibrated by outside forces, alerting the consignee or handlers that the cargo has been subjected to some impact and needs to be examined carefully. There are two types of Drop N Tell: “Resettable” and “Unresettable”. Unesettable Drop N Tell is a one-time use product that cannot be restarted after usage. After use, the reusable Drop N Tell indicator can be reset using a specialized tool and reused up to thirty to forty times. Six different G value detectors of impact forces are supported by both types of impact sensors: 5G, 10G, 15G, 25G, 50G, and 100G.
How does Drop N Tell indicator work?
The Drop N Tell indicator is composed of iron components and an elastic reed inside. The reed pushes the colored iron when it senses an outside force.

The six product models offered by Drop N Tell are 5G, 10G, 15G, 25G, 50G, and 100G. Select the right product model based on the weight and volume of the cargo.
