TiltWatch Plus, an advanced simple tilt indicator, offers shipping conditions on whether tilt(s) is present or absent its angle and whether a total overturn has occurred from warehouse to destination. Easy to install on products or packing and reasonably priced, TiltWatch Plus can minimize damage during delivery.
“Will there be an issue if I move from Tiltwatch Plus to Leaning Label Plus?” Users worry about this all the time. What occurs if a user has a Tiltwatch Plus subscription and wants to utilize Leaning Label Plus? Is there a difficulty of any kind with switching the two brands? Let’s begin with the requirements, application guidelines, and testing.
In the shipping indicator market, there are many many brands, and people often have a question: How should I choose a brand? Just like the question you have when you choose a TV at home: should I choose a brand with a well-known brand? Or a product with high cost-effectiveness? Therefore, This gave me the idea of ”comparison indicators”.
With more than 20 years of experience in the shipping indicator and packaging industry, I can compare some points that most customers care about and provide insightful and practical suggestions. The current stage planning starts with impact indicators and tilt indicators. Since there are fewer manufacturers of this type of product compared to others, it is a good starting point. As the two largest manufacturers of impact indicators, I have to start with the comparison between ShockWatch TiltWatch XTR and Leaning Label tilt indicator.

What is TiltWatch Plus?
As a member of the TiltWatch family, the TiltWatch Plus tilt indicator offers 360° tilt detection monitoring through the use of three distinct tilt sensors: one to indicate if a complete overturn has occurred, and the other to assess the tilt’s angle and direction. Increases product quality from dock to dock by assisting in the identification of problem areas throughout the supply chain, from production to transportation and storage.
In certain countries, tilt indicator is commonly referred to as Tiltwatch, in a similar vein to how Google is referred to as a “search engine.” We call this type of device a “tilt indicator.” There are numerous varieties and brand names to choose from.
The table below show both similarities and differences. The main variations are indicated in RED. Leaning Label Plus offers two 30-degree detection because, unlike TW+, it has a “start” section.

#1 Producer: SpotSee & WAN-YO
ShockWatch TiltWatch Plus Tilt Indicator (Shockwatch Inc., now Spotsee’s product)
A sister product of the ShockWatch brand, TiltWatch Plus is made in the US by Dallas, Texas-based Shockwatch Inc. (formerly Spotsee), a supply chain solutions company. “Spotsee.io” will appear when you search for “shockwatch.com” on Google.
Prior to 2017, Shockwatch TiltWatch Plus was primarily manufactured in Texas, USA. Later, the main places where Shockwatch labels were manufactured were China and Mexico.
Leaning Labe Plus (WAN-YO’s product)
WAN-YO founded the business in 2009 after realizing that the shipping monitoring gadget market was essentially monopolized. The Impact Label brand was first produced in large quantities in 2013. Wan-Yo has expanded to become Asia’s biggest manufacturer of transit monitoring systems.
#2 Quality & Accuracy
The main issue that worries most users is the functional difference between the WAN-YO-manufactured Leaning Label Plus and the US-based Spotsee-manufactured TiltWatch Plus tilt indicator. Users are concerned about accuracy when it comes to monitoring their expensive products in case of malfunction.
For a thorough side-by-side comparison of Leaning Label Plus and TiltWatch Plus, from appearance to real-world performance, we created a video.
There’s no difference tested with the box while a little difference tested with the wood crate.
When testing with wood crate, ShockWatch 75G performs more insensitive than 100G which 75G should normally activate at a lower height before 100G activates while Impact Label performs normally. Perhaps it’s a defective label that happened occasionally.
As a result, for users who are concerned about accuracy, both brands are interchangeable for monitoring their shipments with peace of mind.
How do you use TiltWatch Plus label and LL+ tilt indicators?
Apply LL+ and TiltWatch Plus tilt indicator in the same manner.
- Remove the rear liner and hold it straight.
- Press firmly in the lower corner after placing it there.
- Mark the degrees that are unacceptable and place the companion label next to the indicator.
It is highly recommended to place another indicator on the opposite side of the recently applied one to monitor all planes of the container, as one indicator only monitors one.
How do TiltWatch Plus and LL+ work?
The TiltWatch Plus and LL+ are armed after the adhesive liners are taken off. The ball rolls into the next shipment if it is tilted more than 30° (for LL+) or 40° (for TW+) or upended. Indicators will display the angle, tilt direction, and/or whether the ball has been upended.
While TW+ starts at 30° degree and can determine whether the shipment has been tilted over 40° degree, LL+’s start point is below 30° degree, allowing it to determine whether the shipment has been tilted over 30° degree.
Although the design appears straightforward, TW+ and LL+ both forbid manual tampering. When someone tries to roll the ball back to the beginning, as you saw in the YouTube video, another ball rolls into the last, which continues to show an unacceptable tilt level for the shipment. Additionally, a magnet cannot be used to reset the material of the balls. They are fully capable of operating in order.
How do you read a TiltWatch Plus and LL+?
An indicator consists of three distinct indicators: one that shows whether a full overturn has occurred, and the other two that show the tilt’s angle and direction.
Indicators display the angle, tilt direction, and/or whether the ball has been upended. If, for instance, you notice that the ball is at 80°, the shipment is likely tilted beyond 80°. In the meantime, you should verify the degree that is indicated on the companion label and note on the bill of lading before receipt if the shipment has been tilted beyond the indicated degrees.

Leaning Label Plus & TiltWatch Plus Price
When making decisions, most buyers take “functionality” and “reasonable price” into account. Brand recognition represents consumers’ understanding of a company, and associated certifications represent the worth of the company’s offerings. Both are essential. The cost of the TiltWatch Plus is between US $1.5 and $3.5 while the cost of Leaning Label Plus is between US $1 and $3.
Spotsee online store launches in 2024. Although it’s limited to the US and Canada, their distributor and partner are genuinely offended by this action.

#5 Service
Unlike shock indicators, make sure at which degree your shipment cannot be accepted. If 80 degrees is good enough for being applicable, Leaning Label or TiltWatch is the best choice for you, otherwise, both Plus series of two MFGs will be suitable for your shipment. However, one distinguishing difference is the 30-degree detection for Leaning Label Plus. TiltWatch Plus CANNOT detect 30 degrees tilt level.
Custom Tilt Plus Indicator Label
TiltWatch Plus tilt indicator and Leaning Label Plus can create tilt labels with their logo for businesses that request them. The distinction between “full custom” and “co-branding” is the only one. Only “co-branding,” or aligning your brand name with TiltWatch Plus on the indication, is permitted by TiltWatch. Leaning Label Plus does not impose any restrictions on custom tilt labels.
